Simple present tense negative sentence by deccan study.

Simple Present Tense
Negative Sentence
Negative Sentence :- Simple sentence with no or not.
Structure :- S + do not/does not + V1 + object

If the subject is in third person singular number then we use does note otherwise we use do not and we always.

For Example :-
  1. हमलोग नहीं पढ़ते हैं। We do not read.
  2. वह नहीं गाता है। He does not sing.
  3. मेरी गायें दूध नहीं देती है। My cows do not give milk.
  4. मेरी गाय दूध नहीं देती हैं। My cow does not give milk.
  5. मैं नहीं खाता हूँ। I do not eat.
  6. वह नहीं खाता है। He does not eat.
  7. राम नहीं पढ़ता है। Ram does not read.
  8. तुम स्कुल नहीं जाते हो। You do not go to school.
Translate the following :-
  1. मैं नही गाता हूँ।
  2. तुमलोग नहीं पढ़ते हो।
  3. आप नहीं दौड़ते हैं।
  4. हमलोगों के नौकर काम नहीं करते हैं।
  5. तुम्हारे दोस्त तुम्हें प्यार नहीं करते है।
  6. आपकी पत्नी आपकी मदद नहीं करती है।
  7. बच्चे नहीं दौड़ते हैं।
  8. बिल्ली घास नहीं खाती हैं।
  9. मैं रात मे नहीं घूमता हूँ।

Introgative sentence & Introgative negative

Structure :-
  1. Do/Does + subject + v1+ object +?
  2. Do/Does + subject + not + v1 + object +?
  3. Don't/Does't +subject + v1 + object +?

If subject is in 3rd person singular number then we use Does otherwise we use Do.

  1. क्या मैं खाता हूँ? Do i eat?

    2. Here I is in first person singular number, so we use Do.

  2. क्या मैं खाता हूँ? Does i eat?

    3. Here He is in third person singular number, so we use Does.

  3. क्या मैं नहीं खाता? Does i not eat?
  4. or Doesn't i eat?

    5. This is example is in Interrogative negative sentence.

  1. क्या मैं टेलीविजन देखता हूं?
  2. क्या हम अखबार पढ़ते हैं?
  3. क्या वे फुटबॉल खेलते हैं?
  4. क्या आपको तैरना पसंद है?
  5. क्या छात्र अपना पाठ पढ़ते हैं?
  6. क्या वह अंग्रेजी पढ़ाता है?
  7. क्या वह एक पत्र लिखती है?
  8. क्या सुबह बारिश होती है?
  9. क्या रोगी दवा लेता है?
  10. अगली ट्रेन शंघाई के लिए कब रवाना होगी?

  11. क्या आप अंग्रेजी नहीं पढ़ाते हैं?
  12. क्या मैं रोज नहीं चलता?
  13. क्या वे कार नहीं चलाते?
  14. क्या आप मरीजों का ऑपरेशन नहीं करते?
  15. क्या वह किताबें नहीं खरीदती?
  16. क्या जॉन दूध नहीं पीता?
  17. क्या यहाँ रोज बारिश नहीं होती?

Wh-words

structure :- wh-words + interrogative sentences.

Examples :-

  1. बच्चे क्यों नहीं आते? why do the children not come?

    2. This sentence is interrogative negative sentence. so we use wh-words first then 2nd formula of interrogative sentence.

  2. सीता क्या खाती है? what does sita eat?

    3. This sentence is interrogative sentence. so we use wh-words first then 1st formula of interrogative sentence.

  3. मैं क्या चाहता हूं? what do i want?
  4. तुम किसे पसंद करते हो? whom do you like?
  5. तुम क्यों नहीं पढ़ते? why do you not read?
  6. सीता गाना क्यों नहीं गाती? why does sita not sing a song?

Solve the following :-
  1. राम क्या पढ़ता है?
  2. तुम क्या करते?
  3. तुम कब सोते हो?
  4. आपकी गाय दूध कब देती है?
  5. वह हंसता क्यों नहीं है?
  6. तुम्हारी गाय क्या देती है?
  7. तुम क्या नहीं जानते क्या आप किसी को नहीं जानते?
  8. वह स्कूल क्यों नहीं जाना चाहता?
  9. वह काम क्यों नहीं करना चाहता?
